General Booking & Gameplay

What is an escape room?

An escape room is a private, team-based experience where your group solves puzzles, uncovers clues and completes challenges within a set time. Each room has its own theme, story and mission, making it a fun indoor activity for families, friends, birthdays, date nights and teams.

Are your escape rooms private?

Yes. All bookings at Chronos One Escape Rooms are private for your group. You will never be mixed with strangers, making our games ideal for families, children, teenagers, couples, birthday groups and corporate teams.

Will we be locked in?

No. You can leave our games at any time if you need a break, need the toilet or would prefer to step out. A member of our team will be available to help. Please note that the game clock will usually continue to count down while you are outside the room.

How long does the experience last?

Each escape room lasts up to 60 minutes. We recommend allowing a little extra time before and after your booking for your briefing, questions and group photos.

Do we need previous escape room experience?

No. First-time players are very welcome. Our game masters will explain everything before you begin and can provide hints during the game if your group needs support.

How many people can play?

Our escape rooms are designed for groups of 2-6 players. If you are planning a larger group, birthday party, school trip or team-building event, please contact us and we will advise on the best way to arrange your visit.

I already booked. Can I add more people?

Yes, provided the room capacity allows it. All our games are private, so you can add extra players by phone, by email or when you arrive for your game.

Do you have parking?

We do not have on-site parking, but local parking is available nearby. For our Eltham venue, many visitors use the nearby Sainsbury’s car park. Please check current parking tariffs and allow extra time before your booking.

Where are you based?

Chronos One Escape Rooms is based in Eltham, South East London. We welcome visitors from Greenwich, Blackheath, Lewisham, Bromley, Sidcup, Bexley, Woolwich and the surrounding areas.

What age are your escape rooms suitable for?

Children are welcome when accompanied by at least one adult. Younger children can enjoy taking part as part of a family group, although the puzzles are usually best suited to older children, teenagers and adults. If you are unsure which room is most suitable, please contact us before booking.

Which escape room is best for families?

The Temple of the Forbidden Idol is a great choice for families, first-time players and mixed-age groups. Return to Neverland is also a strong family option, especially for groups looking for a magical and playful adventure.

Are your rooms scary?

Most of our rooms focus on story, puzzles and atmosphere rather than jump scares. Nightmare on Ripper Street has a darker theme and is better suited to brave teens, adults and groups who enjoy a more intense atmosphere. If you are booking for children or nervous players, please speak to our team for advice.

Can parents take part?
